Last updated 24 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Monti Crafts (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our website and mobile app (together, the “Service”).
Who we are
Monti Crafts is a trading name of Swales Collective LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17283111), with its registered office at 142 Somerset Road, Almondbury, Huddersfield, England, HD5 8HY. Swales Collective LTD is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to provide the Service, which may include:
- Account details you provide, such as your email address.
- Your child’s first name and date of birth, used to age-match activities and milestones.
- Content you create in the app, such as weight, height, and milestone entries.
- Subscription and purchase records, processed by our payment providers.
- Basic usage, device, and diagnostic data used to keep the Service reliable and to improve it.
How we use your information
We use your information to deliver age-appropriate activities and milestones, manage your account and subscription, respond to support requests, keep the Service secure, and improve Monti Crafts. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Our legal bases
Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service and your subscription); our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service); your consent, where we ask for it; and compliance with our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and secure hosting of your account data.
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics to keep the app stable.
- Apple and Google — in-app subscription and purchase processing.
- Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions.
- Amazon — where you follow an affiliate product link, subject to Amazon’s own privacy policy.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an equivalent mechanism.
Data storage and retention
Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers and protected with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and hardware-backed secure storage of session tokens on your device. We retain personal data only for as long as your account is active, or as needed to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain it by law.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from within the app, or at monticrafts.com/delete-account. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children’s privacy
Monti Crafts is intended for use by parents and carers aged 18 or over, not by children. Any information about a child is provided by the responsible adult who controls the account. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.
